INTRODUCTION

For More than a decade now I have been working in the Television Industry. I have Reported for Television, Produced Talk Shows, Produced News Bulletins, Made Corporate Films and more.

Only a few years back I got an opportunity to do a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Thomson Foundation, under the University of Wales, UK.   With this experience, I have tried to write a few lessons on Current Affairs, News and Talk Show programmes.

This would help new comers in the field to understand Television and help experienced professionals to sharpen their skills.  I have tried to use lay man's language for everybody to understand.

NEWS AND CURRENT AFFAIRS PROGRAMMES

Different techniques are employed to make News and Current Affairs programmes.    I have clubbed them together here so that I don't have to repeat the common factors and also this will help in comparing the two.
