For More than a Decade now I have been
working in the Indian Television Industry. I started my career
reporting for Eyewitness - a weekly Current Affairs
programme produced by The Hindustan Times (India's popular
national daily).
Here
I covered more than 100 stories on varied topics. This
ranged from simple profiles of well-known personalities to
complicated stories on militancy, politics, human interest
stories and many more. The stories included the Latur earthquake;
militancy in Kashmir, Punjab & Assam; Profiles of Chess
Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand, Cricket Maestro Sachin Tendulkar
and Oscar nominated superstar Kamal Haasan ( The adjoining
Picture is that of myself with Kamal Haasan). For
this programme I have interviewed more than 400 people from
various walks of life.
sDuring Nov 95- Dec 96 I worked for On Air
a Talk show hosted by famous danseuse mallika sarabhai
on Home TV.
Later I worked for the BBC, Sahara TV and Eenadu
Television in the capacity of a Producer.
My stint with the Thomson Foundation as a student
of their Broadcast Journalism Course, under the University
of Wales, UK (1996) honed my skills as a TV Journalist.
This course also made me a better manager, gave me a better
understanding of Documentary film making and contacts with
Journalists from many parts of the world. (The photograph
below is that of my batch- the arrow there points to me.)

Currently I am working for CNBC India as a News
Producer. You can download a copy of my bio data by clicking
